Hypnotherapy for Weight Loss
Hypnotherapy is one of the best tools that can be used to change behaviours and to help lose weight. But how?
There are many misconceptions surrounding hypnosis, but there is a big difference between stage hypnosis and visiting a clinical hypnotherapist to help implement change within your life. Clinical hypnotherapy is a guided programme where the person being hypnotised is always in control. It takes a person into a highly relaxed and focused state. This heightened sense of focus allows their mind to be more open to change at a deeper level.
In order to reach this relaxed state, the hypnotherapist will use therapeutic words and phrases to guide and create visualisations in order to move from an awake state into an alternated state of consciousness. Once that relaxed state has been achieved then the change work can begin.
Changing our behaviours is hard especially when it comes to food and drink and relying on the thing, we like to call will power is setting ourselves up for failure. Lasting change can't simply occur by telling our conscious mind what we don’t want anymore. We must look to speak to the unconscious mind (as that’s what's really running the show). We do that by achieving that relaxed state, as you are then able to reach your inner resources that just aren't accessible when fully conscious and distracted by day-to-day tasks.
Alongside a healthy food and exercise plan, hypnotherapy is the missing piece of the puzzle that gives us the best possible chance of having the body and mindset we have always craved.
